ARTTOKEN announces 'Hypercube NFT Project' in collaboration with Hwan-ki Museum

The artistic spirit of Kim Whanki, a master of abstract art with the highest record in Korean art auctions, will be reborn as living objects by world-class VFX (particle effects) production teams.

ARTTOKEN Co., Ltd. (CEO Hong Ji-suk), an innovative art market NFT platform recently gaining attention in the art community, announced on the 17th that it is preparing to launch the 'Kim Whanki Hypercube NFT Project' with Hwan-ki Museum (Director Park Mi-jeong).

This project involves breathing new life into Kim Whanki's works by applying multimedia VFX technology. ARTTOKEN is deploying world-class experts, including VFX Director Lee Ki-hyung, who participated in the production of films such as Lord of the Rings, Avatar, Avengers, and Alita, from New Zealand's film technology company Weta Digital.

The 'Kim Whanki Hypercube NFT Project' will be introduced via the ARTTOKEN platform in June, following three months of work, and is scheduled to enter the global art auction market, which accounts for 70% of worldwide art transactions, including Sotheby’s and Christie’s.

Kim Whanki's works applied to the multimedia hypercube will provide visitors with surreal experiences, such as the unexpectedness created by the arrangement of cubes reflecting reality and the extraordinary non-daily life unfolding within them.

By using aluminum mirror material for the exterior of each booth module, the space, which infinitely reflects the external environment, becomes another canvas. Visitors can have a unique artistic experience interacting with the living objects painted on the canvas within.

This can be described as true culturetainment—a surreal experience that moves beyond traditional gallery spaces, aiming for Stay+Complex, where visitors become one with the artwork and connect with the artist.

ARTTOKEN CEO Hong Ji-suk stated, "Visitors will encounter Kim Whanki's works, reborn as immersive media, within various hypercube booths in an omnibus format," adding, "This initiative will offer a unique experience where visitors feel they are directly interacting with the artist through new interpretations and mutual direction of the pieces."

Beginning with the Kim Whanki project, ARTTOKEN plans to aggressively target the global art market by collaborating with top Korean artists, such as landscape painter Ryu Jae-chun, who is leading the 'K-Wave,' through this platform.

Meanwhile, ARTTOKEN Co., Ltd. is operating a new concept digital art platform that links e-commerce, which archives physical works alongside NFT pieces, and the NFT platform ("http://arttoken.ai") is a venture company that is preparing for the official launch of its platform on March 24th.
