ARTTOKEN to reveal Korean artists' NFTs at LA Art Show

ARTTOKEN, a startup that develops artwork into Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), announced that it will showcase works by domestic artists at the 'LA Art Show' held on the 15th at the Los Angeles Convention Center in the U.S. The company sells artwork developed as NFTs using blockchain technology online.

The LA Art Show, which opens on the 14th and runs until the 18th, is the largest art exhibition and market in the Western North America. Over 120 galleries from the U.S., Europe, China, Korea, and elsewhere are participating in this 29th annual event. Of particular interest this year is 'The Cello,' a 1999 work created by artist Nam June Paik, the pioneer of video art.

ARTTOKEN plans to exhibit works by contemporary artists such as Sung Tae-jin, Shin Je-hyun, Yoon Song-ah, Lee Seok-ju, and Lee Jin-hyu at this event, and will allow some works to be bought and sold as NFTs. An company official emphasized, "Our goal is to introduce outstanding Korean contemporary art to the world using digital technology," adding, "We will support artists, galleries, and enthusiasts to connect more easily through blockchain technology."
