StarLabs and ARTTOKEN Sign MOU to Expand Metaverse/NFT Digital Content Business

[Business Korea = Reporter Jung Seok-i] Domestic metaverse company StarLabs announced that it signed a Strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ARTTOKEN, an NFT platform focusing on fine art, on the 16th. StarLabs and ARTTOKEN plan to revitalize the metaverse transformation business through collaboration related to the metaverse and NFT.

StarLabs, which has been actively pursuing new metaverse businesses recently, agreed to digitally implement an ARTTOKEN gallery within the metaverse platform, globally exhibit NFT works based on K-ART, and share NFT art content data to provide better services to users. They plan to showcase NFT digital content works through the metaverse, starting with the first exhibition at 2022 G-STAR, the largest domestic game expo, in November.

Regarding this, StarLabs CEO Lee Joon-ho stated, "Through this agreement, we hope that the art market metaverse will develop further and that the general public can access artworks more easily. We will strive harder to lead the metaverse business so that we can provide new services to our users."

ARTTOKEN CEO Hong Ji-sook stated, "We will open a gallery on StarLabs' metaverse platform using excellent K-Art NFT content to increase the utility of the metaverse through NFT art works and provide high value-added services for metaverse users."

Meanwhile, StarLabs is a company leading a new future through hyper-converged, cloud-centric businesses. In order to bring about a paradigm shift in the digital ecosystem, they are also entering the metaverse new business sector, alongside cloud services, cloud-based solutions, and artificial intelligence. They plan to conduct metaverse transformation by building metaverses for various fields, including entertainment, healthcare, and education, not just art, for businesses.
